Units of PMC “Wagner” will remain in Belarus, despite the crash of the plane, on board of which were the founder of the group Yevgeny Prigozhin and commander Dmitry Utkin. This was stated by President of the country Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA reports.
“Wagner lived, Wagner is alive and Wagner will live in Belarus, no matter how much someone would like it. Prigozhin and I built a system of how Wagner will be located in our country,” Lukashenka said, using a phrase that was used in Soviet times as one of the party communist slogans in relation to Lenin.
According to Lukashenko, the “core” of Wagner PMC fighters remains in Belarus, some of them went on vacation, some “decided to live on the sidelines,” but their “phone numbers, addresses, passwords, appearances” are known.
“Within a few days, everyone will be here, up to 10,000 people. Now there is no need to keep them here. Therefore, they do not run anywhere. For as long as we need this unit, they will live and work with us,” the president concluded.
Recall that the fighters of PMC “Wagner” began redeployment to Belarus after an attempted rebellion on June 24.
