The audios of the alleged conversations that the Israeli Shy Dahan had with former President Abdalá Bucaram are once again at the center of the controversy after knowing details.

Already in August of last year, when the existence of the audios was known for the first time, Bucaram Ortiz recognized that this was part of a technical defense and that he was trying to gain the trust of the foreigner.
At that time, the former president argued that the two foreign citizens asked him for help and that he allegedly offered them a lawyer because, according to him, the Minister of Government of the Lenín Moreno Administration would send them to kill.
Francisco Onofa, one of the Bucaram lawyers, stated that the recording of the audios should have been authorized by a judge for it to have value as evidence.
“How can we ensure that it is the voice of the deceased Israeli citizen? How can we assure that it is the voice of Jacobo Bucaram or of Abdalá Bucaram, father? If at no time have they lent their voice to be compared through expert techniques, “said the lawyer.
And he stressed that the audios are not new, therefore, they have already been experienced; after which they had no proof effect, because technically they were obtained illegally. “Anything that is illegal cannot become part of a test,” Onofa said.
However, the Prosecutor’s Office, if it deems it appropriate, can appeal that for the remote justice to ratify or reverse that decision, at the discretion of the criminal lawyer Héctor Gabriel Vanegas, who points out that at the time these elements were not valued.

During the dialogue, the foreigner reported that his lawyer told him that he had received a visit from armed men in his office.
“I told him (the lawyer) you lied to me, you changed your number. He (the lawyer) says yes, give me Jacobo’s number, I’ll give him your number to talk to you, ”Dahan says in the conversation with who would be the ex-president’s son.
The interlocutor responds to the foreigner who received the call from whom he identifies as Ely. “Ely says that you are acting badly,” he scolds him.

In another conversation, the foreigner is heard speaking allegedly with former President Abdalá Bucaram, who says he feels surprised that security for the Israeli has not arrived.
