The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case into the crash of the Embraer plane of businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic safety rules and operation of air transport). This was reported in the press service of the department. An investigation team has been dispatched to the scene.
In turn, the Federal Air Transport Agency reported that a specially created commission of the department began to investigate the circumstances and causes of the plane crash. The aircraft belonged to MNT-Aero LLC, which specializes in business transportation, according to a publication of the department in the Telegram channel.
“The commission of the Federal Air Transport Agency has begun collecting factual materials on the training of the crew, the technical condition of the aircraft, the meteorological situation on the flight route, the work of dispatch services and ground radio equipment,” the Federal Air Transport Agency noted.
Recall that on the evening of Wednesday, August 23, an Embraer plane crashed in the Tver region. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported the death of all 10 people on board. To date, the bodies of 8 dead have been found at the scene of the incident. The Federal Air Transport Agency previously stated that among the passengers was the leader of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin. However, there is no confirmation yet whether he was on board.
