The Belgorod region bordering Ukraine was subjected to massive shelling. Dozens of shells were fired across the region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on Telegram.
He noted that during the day at least 18 shells were dropped from drones in the region, and one aircraft-type drone was also shot down. Six border municipalities were shelled – a total of 90 shells were fired at them, including 18 explosive devices dropped from drones, the governor said.
According to him, shells were fired in the Belgorod region at the Nekhoteevka checkpoint, in the village of Zhuravlevka, in the Varishkin farm, in the Valuysky urban district – in the village of Lavy, in the Graivoronsky district in the village of Spodaryushino, in the village of Dronovka, in the Krasnoyaruzhsky district in the village of Staroselye. And in the Volokonovsky district, the Stary farm was fired on 13 times with a mortar, in the Krasnoyaruzhsky district, the outskirts of the village of Popovka were fired on 11 times, and 5 fragmentation ammunition was also dropped from a UAV. In the Shebekinsky urban district, 10 artillery shells were fired at the village of Sereda, and 5 mortar shells at the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka. The Pankov farm also came under mortar fire – 9 arrivals were recorded.
Earlier in the morning, the governor also reported that three civilians were killed during a drone attack on a sanatorium in the village of Lava, Valuysky district.
