Meat products with the causative agent of anthrax were found in the Voronezh region. This was reported by the Rosselkhoznadzor department for the Voronezh, Belgorod and Lipetsk regions.
Specialists destroyed all products. The necessary disinfection measures will continue at this time. The sale, movement, export of livestock products at the 1000 trifles market in Voronezh, where the outbreak of the pathogen was identified, as well as the issuance of veterinary accompanying documents on the market, was suspended.
It is noted that the infected meat was in a personal subsidiary farm in the village of Krasnye Holmy, Paninsky district. It was obtained from the slaughter of cattle. After checking in the storage chambers of the market, 14 samples were taken from the products in storage – the genetic material of the anthrax pathogen was found in two samples of beef. A state of emergency has been introduced in the region. A human case of anthrax has been reported in the Paninsky District after butchering the carcass of an infected animal.
