As part of a criminal case on a deadly excursion along the collectors of the Neglinka River in Moscow, charges were brought against two defendants in the case – 31-year-old Nikita Dubas and 35-year-old CEO of Sputnik Alexander Kim. Both refused to admit guilt, according to the representative of the Moscow prosecutor’s office Lyudmila Nefedova.
She noted that the defendants were accused under the article “Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements.” In the near future, the court will choose a measure of restraint for them.
According to Lenta.ru, the third defendant in the case, the general director of the Avangard travel company, Alexander Lazovsky, has been put on the wanted list. Earlier it was reported that he had fled Russia and was presumably in the UAE.
Recall that earlier the UK opened a criminal case. The excursion, eight participants of which died, took place the day before. When heavy rain began in Moscow, people were underground. The water rose sharply, the diggers had practically no chance to escape. People could be washed away by a stream of water and dragged underground for a distance of about two kilometers, Life noted.
