In Volgograd, a local resident beat his one-year-old daughter to death. According to the investigating authorities of the Russian Investigative Committee for the region, the mother of the child tried to protect the baby, but her husband also beat her.
According to investigators, the man attacked his wife with his fists when the child was still sleeping, and then began to threaten to kill the woman. The noise woke the girl up and burst into tears. Her 25-year-old father began to beat his daughter. He threw the child on the sofa and with an effort squeezed the girl’s neck, after which he hit the baby’s head several times against the wall and beat him with a belt. According to medical experts, the father struck the girl 18 blows to the head, at least 10 blows to the stomach, and 10 blows to the buttocks.
The girl’s mother tried to save the child, but the man grabbed her and began to choke her, and also broke her arm. The woman managed to escape and call the police.
The offender was arrested. A criminal case was initiated.
He was convicted of murdering a child with particular cruelty and intentionally causing harm to the health of his wife, in threatening to kill. At the same time, at the trial, the man did not admit his guilt, explaining that the damage to his daughter was allegedly caused by the mother of the child. However, the guilt of the sadist was proven, he was sentenced to 22 years in a strict regime colony with restriction of freedom for a period of 1 year and 6 months.
