Winds like these are needed by the country in its quest to solve its problems. The political maturity conveyed in the statements of Otto Sonnenholzner, Jan Topic, Christian Zurita, Yaku Pérez, Xavier Hervas or Bolívar Armijos must go further.

The obvious lesson from the results is that voters are tired of confrontations, polemics, false information and multiplied scandals on social networks.

Luisa González and Daniel Noboa are rebuilding their forces to face each other in the second election round

Luisa González and Daniel Noboa will be on the ballot next October 15. They will be judged there by the population that aspires to an honest transitional president, who honors his word in the fulfillment of plans and works to bring Ecuador out of insecurity, from the social and economic crisis.

Ecuadorians are obliged to fight for a better country, and therefore it is flattering that the candidates who were left out offered, as Jan Topić did yesterday, their plans to take the best of them. Those who entered the Assembly must also take an oath of loyalty to Ecuador, regardless of who wins the presidency. It is time to get rid of the doctrine that the only valid alliance is with Ecuador.
