Ukrainian drones again tried to attack objects in Russia. On the night of August 22, six drones were shot down – two were destroyed by air defense in the Moscow region, two more were suppressed by electronic warfare in the Bryansk region, and two more were suppressed by electronic warfare northwest of Crimea. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in Telegram.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin confirmed the destruction of two UAVs over the Moscow region: one in the Krasnogorsk region, the second in the Chatsov region. It is noted that in the house under which fragments of the device were found, windows were broken. Cars parked nearby were damaged.
It is specified that across the river from the Pavshinsky floodplain, where the drone fell in Krasnogorsk, is the building of the government of the Moscow region. The second drone was shot down about 5 km southwest of Chatsy, where the main temple of the Russian Armed Forces is located, RBC notes.
It is also reported that the Moscow airports Vnukovo, Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo temporarily suspended the reception and departure of aircraft. At the moment, only Vnukovo has not resumed work. More than 10 flights are delayed.
