Forward of the teams of the Amateur Hockey League “Maryinsky Kabanchiki” and “Metallurg” Artem Melkumov became a defendant in a criminal case after a drunken brawl in a Moscow cafe.
It all happened in a cafe on Nizhnyaya Radishchevskaya Street on August 17, TASS reports. Drunk hockey player refused to pay the bill. The cafe staff called the police to calm him down. However, the hockey player bit the finger of one of the police officers when they tried to handcuff him. A 26-year-old police sergeant with a lacerated wound had to seek medical help.
On the fact of the incident, a criminal case was initiated under the article on the use of violence against a representative of the authorities. The hockey player is now under house arrest.
The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for Moscow added that the police department drew up a report on the hockey player under the article on petty hooliganism, he faces a fine or administrative arrest for up to 15 days.
Earlier it was reported that in the Leningrad region, an employee of the landscaping service killed a pensioner because of a flower bed.
