There are no prospects for negotiations between Moscow and Kiev. This is the opinion of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov, the text is published on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“The prospect of negotiations between Russia and the West, alas, is not visible now. In addition, Western sponsors are constantly pushing the Kiev regime to raise rates,” the minister said.

He is sure that all Western calls to this effect are a tactical ploy to give Ukraine the opportunity to regroup. “In order to buy time once again, to give the exhausted Ukrainian troops a respite and the opportunity to regroup, to pump them up again with weapons and ammunition. But this is the path of war, not a peaceful settlement,” Lavrov stressed.

He also criticized multilateral meetings without Russia’s invitation, adding that at such meetings they try to convince developing countries to support Vladimir Zelensky’s “peace formula”, Moscow is accused of unwillingness to participate in negotiations, and arguments about the need to take into account Moscow’s opinion “are canceled on the fly.” Lavrov also considers Zelensky’s “peace formula” unacceptable. According to him, Moscow is required to “agree with the infringement of fundamental interests in the field of security and the continuation of arbitrariness against Russians and Russian-speaking people in new territories and on lands controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”
