In Thailand, a Russian woman died after falling out of a window on the seventh floor of an apartment building in Pattaya, Bangkok Post reports citing police.
The incident occurred on the night of August 13 in the Sattahip area near Jomtien Beach in the west of the city. The body of a 32-year-old Russian woman was found near the house, she was half naked.
The police assume that the woman fell out of the window of the room where she lived with her partner, also a Russian. The man told law enforcement officers that the deceased fell out of the window by accident, the newspaper writes. When the police went up to the room, the man was holding a glass of alcohol, according to the publication. According to the newspaper, the Russian was drunk. According to Pattaya News, he was detained.
The newspaper writes, citing the police, that the Russian woman recently applied to law enforcement agencies and the Thai immigration service with a statement about the loss of her passport. According to police, the woman was looking for a way to return to her homeland.
