Eduardo Velázquez Medranda, 28, lost his life in a traffic accident that occurred in the last hours, at km 1 of the Canuto-Calceta road.
It was a frontal collision between a white truck, with GSD-5085 plates, and a blue motorcycle, without plates, which was driven by the now deceased, according to the first report of the Ecuadorian Transit Commission (CTE).
The driver of the truck would have fled, it added.
Relatives of the mortal victim commented that Eduardo had joined as an agronomist on the morning of Friday, December 3, hours before the tragedy.
That incorporation was at the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador (PUCE) based in Chone. After that, he celebrated his graduation with friends and family. But later he chose to go to Calceta.
He lived in Chone and left a minor as an orphan.
Those who knew him described him as a polite, respectful person and as a good son.
Agents from the OIAT and CTE, who arrived at the scene, took clues and opened the respective investigation. Also, and by prior authorization of the prosecutor on duty, they carried out the removal of the body, which was taken to the Institute of Forensic Sciences in Manta. (I)
