The Prosecutor General’s Office has recognized the activities of the Allatra International Public Movement as undesirable on the territory of Russia, the press service of the Office reports.
The agency believes that Allatra, whose director is a citizen of Ukraine, is a pseudo-religious movement operating in Russia and other countries. The organization was founded in 2011 on the basis of the Lagoda International Public Organization. On the Allatra website, its goals are “unification and friendship of all peoples on the basis of cultural, moral, spiritual values that unite people all over the world.”
“Allatra MPM activists in Russia receive instructions from Ukrainian curators about the need to establish contacts with representatives of opposition forces and conduct unified coordinated actions to discredit the policies of federal and regional authorities,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
Since the beginning of the special operation in Ukraine, the organization has been spreading “deliberately false information that discredits the actions of the Russian army,” the department stressed.
In addition, the movement violates the requirements of Russian law by engaging in missionary activities in Russia without the status of a religious organization.
The supervisory authority stressed that in order to cover up the political nature of its activities, Allatra holds events under the auspices of the Creative Society organization, whose control center is located in the United States.
