The murder of Romero Moncayo occurred on a rural road in the Aguacate compound, in the Tonchigüe parish, in Atacames, yesterday afternoon, around 5:00 p.m.
Family members said that the man was mobilizing on a motorcycle in the La Mina sector when subjects in a similar vehicle intercepted him and shot him.
The violent death of Gracia Jama occurred inside the victim’s home, in the neighborhood of 15 de Marzo, near the Esmeraldas refinery, in the provincial capital, around 10:00 p.m.
Witnesses told the police officers that one of the perpetrators entered the house and shot him with his firearm on several occasions.
After the call for help to ECU-911, paramedics arrived at the scene and confirmed that Gracia no longer had vital signs due to the bullet wounds she had near her chest.
