It happened before noon on Thursday, December 2.
The driver of a vehicle was attacked with a bullet this morning in the Los Ceibos citadel, north of Guayaquil.
The 31-year-old citizen was moving in a blue vehicle along José de Rubira Ramos avenue when he was intercepted by a motorcycle with two occupants. One of them opened fire on the driver.
After the ECU911 alert, Fire Department units came to the area to provide first aid to the affected person amid the commotion of citizens who gathered around the vehicle, on the side of the street.
Later, police officers cordoned off the scene.

There, police personnel indicated that the driver was injured and was taken to a medical home. “He is apparently in stable condition, he is being operated on (surgically),” said Major Christian Pozo, from the Los Ceibos district.
Criminalistics units found two ballistic evidence. For now, agents continue the inquiries to establish the motivations for the event.
At least five people have been injured in other attacks reported early Thursday morning in sectors of the north and south of Guayaquil.
In one case, subjects on a motorcycle shot a group of people outside a house on 35th and Vacas Galindo streets, in the Guayaquil suburb. In that attack, three people were left with superficial injuries. (I)
