Almost all systemically important Russian banks no longer accept dollars and euros through ATMs. The Izvestia newspaper writes about this.

It is noted that 11 out of 13 systemically important credit institutions of the Russian Federation do not accept cash currency, while it is still possible to deposit money at bank branches.

So, it is impossible to deposit dollars and euros through ATMs at Sberbank, VTB, Otkritie, Raiffeisenbank, Unicreditbank, Gazprombank, Sovcombank, Moscow Credit Bank, Rosselkhozbank, Promsvyazbank, Rosbank.

Dollars and euros are still accepted by Alfa-Bank and Tinkoff. In the first bank, they do not charge a commission for depositing foreign currency, in the second they charge a fee of 5%, Kommersant clarifies.

Note that VTB, Sberbank, Otkritie, Novikombank, Promsvyazbank, Rossiya, Sovcombank are under EU blocking sanctions. In July, the US imposed sanctions on five Russian banks, including Tinkoff, Loko-Bank, Solidarity, St. Petersburg Social Commercial Bank, and Unistream.
