The United States has announced a new military assistance package for Ukraine worth up to $400 million. It will include Stryker armored vehicles, Hydra-70 aircraft missiles, mine-clearing equipment, small arms cartridges, ammunition for artillery, HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems, the Associated Press reported, citing sources.
Also included in the package are nanodrones, small Black Hornet reconnaissance drones that fit in your pocket, are capable of silent reconnaissance of the area and can be controlled in a whisper. The device is 10 cm long, 2.5 cm wide, and weighs between 18–32 g. Black Hornet drones are mainly used for intelligence gathering. They were widely used by the US and British military in Afghanistan. The main disadvantage of the Black Hornet is their cost. The kit costs up to $60,000 – for this amount you can buy over 20 Mavic 3 Fly More Combo drones, which are more often used by the Armed Forces, media writes.
We add that the Russian authorities criticize the supply of Western equipment to Ukraine, while noting that they will not prevent Moscow from achieving its goals.
