The number of people hospitalized after a hot water pipe burst in the Vremena Goda shopping center in Moscow has increased to ten people, Yulia Ivanova, senior assistant to the head of the capital’s head office of the IC, told reporters.
According to Ivanova, as a result of the incident, four employees of the shopping center died, ten citizens were hospitalized for medical assistance with burns of varying severity. The representative of the UK also added that the pipe burst occurred on the basement and basement floors.
Recall, on the eve of a shopping center in the west of the capital there was a breakthrough pipe with hot water. According to the prosecutor’s office, all the dead are women. Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that nine people were hospitalized.
Investigators opened a criminal case on the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements. Interrogations are being conducted of the management and employees responsible for the operation of engineering systems, compliance with safety requirements, as well as those who were at the workplace at the time of the emergency.
