The former head of the Accounts Chamber, Alexei Kudrin, who went to work at Yandex, fell under US sanctions because of his work “in the technology sector of the economy” in Russia. This is stated in the materials of the State Department.
Kudrin is a corporate development adviser to a Russian technology firm with close ties to (President) Vladimir Putin.
Recall that earlier today it became known that Alexei Kudrin was included in the US sanctions list. In addition, the general director of the Kalashnikov Group of Companies Vladimir Lepin, the head of ALROSA Pavel Marinychev and some officials were there: First Deputy Minister of Economy Ilya Torosov; deputy head of the FSB Sergei Korolev; Acting Head of the Smolensk Region Vasily Anokhin and others.
We add that Kudrin left the Accounts Chamber, which he headed since 2018 (in 2000-2011 he was the Minister of Finance), in November last year on the proposal of President Vladimir Putin. In December, he revealed that he had become a corporate development advisor at Yandex.
