The work of the Kerch ferry crossing will be suspended from 21:00 to 05:00 on a regular basis until further notice, Crimean Transport Minister Nikolai Lukashenko said in a Telegram channel.
According to him, on a priority basis, children will be transported through the Kerch ferry, then regular buses, then trucks with essential goods, perishable food and medicines.
Trucks with non-priority cargo, charter buses and cars will be able to use an alternative overland route through new regions. At the same time, cars weighing up to 3.5 tons can pass through the Crimean bridge, Lukashenka added.
On July 17, the operation of the crossing was temporarily suspended after a night attack on the Crimean bridge by two Ukrainian surface drones. The movement of cars and trains on the bridge was also suspended. Trains were allowed to cross the bridge after 09:00. The movement of cars on the undamaged strip of the Crimean bridge was opened on the evening of July 17.
