The right dish for dinner will allow you to lose weight in your sleep. This was stated by nutritionist Elena Znakharenko, writes the portal “Doctor Peter”.
According to the expert, it is impossible to refuse food in the evening – with this approach, at first you can really lose weight, but then the weight will return, in addition, an increase in extra kilos is not excluded. The nutritionist explained that the reason lies in cortisol, the stress hormone that the body produces when a person suffers from hunger. It is this hormone that makes you gain fat. Therefore, Znaharenko urges not to skip dinner, but only to choose the right products.
She advises before going to bed not to burden the body and eat easily digestible food, digestible proteins. Foods with thermally processed fiber are best suited for this – steamed vegetables or stews, lean fish, poultry, eggs, fresh vegetables with herbs. At the same time, it is desirable that dinner be 30% of the daily diet, the physician noted.
The nutritionist noted that the best time for dinner for the digestive system is from 17 to 19 in the evening. The active period of the pancreas ends at 21.00, Znakharenko said. She also warned against eating carbohydrate-rich foods like an apple, banana, or cereal before bed because the insulin released from those foods would block important hormones.
