Foreign Ministers of Russia and Turkey Sergey Lavrov and Hakan Fidan discussed the results of joint work under the grain deal, which the Russian side refused to renew, the Russian ministry reports.
The report notes that the termination of the agreements means “the withdrawal of guarantees for the safety of navigation and the restoration of the regime of a temporarily dangerous area” in the northwestern part of the Black Sea, as well as the curtailment of the maritime humanitarian corridor in the zone stipulated by the agreement, and the disbandment of the joint coordination center in Istanbul.
It is also emphasized that, as an alternative to the grain deal, the ministers considered other options for the supply of grain to the countries most in need, “not dependent on the subversive actions of Kyiv and its Western patrons.”
Recall, on the eve of the presidential press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, said that the agreements on the export of grain from Ukrainian ports “virtually ceased to operate.” The deal did not stop, but “stopped” – Russia can return to it as soon as Moscow’s requirements are met, he specified.
