Oncologist Pavel Chernykh warned that with the development of stomach cancer, favorite dishes can suddenly become unattractive for a person. According to MedikForum, the doctor noted that if your favorite food suddenly ceases to be tasty, you must definitely observe how long this feeling and condition lasts – if it takes a long time, then you need to be checked.

“In addition, many patients with stomach cancer report that they suddenly developed an aversion to some foods and drinks in the months before the diagnosis,” the expert said.

Chernykh said that a recurring or persistent feeling of pressure in the upper abdomen can indicate a serious stomach disease. Because of this feeling of pressure, a person may experience discomfort after eating or drinking, as well as when burping. According to the expert, in the case of stomach cancer, nausea often occurs after eating. If this is accompanied by flatulence, which is sometimes painful, you should definitely see a doctor for a check.

Another dangerous signal is constant heartburn. It can be both a sign and a trigger for stomach cancer. It leads to a change in the cells of the mucous membrane, which can degenerate into malignant ones due to constant irritation, the oncologist explained.

Other possible symptoms of stomach cancer, the manifestation of which should not be ignored:

Problems with swallowing food and liquids.

Regular feeling of fullness after eating.

Bad breath with good hygiene.

Unexplained fatigue, loss of energy.

Unintentional weight loss.

Unusually dark tarry stools.
