Crimea remains a massive destination and, despite ongoing cancellations of tours, will receive 4-4.5 million tourists by the end of 2023. This was told to RIA Novosti by the vice-president of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia Sergey Romashkin.
He added that the tourist season on the peninsula is still in full swing and has not been completed due to recent incidents. According to Romashkin, vacations in Crimea were planned by “real lovers of this peninsula,” who understand the problems that Crimea is facing.
“It means that this situation suits them, and I admit that people want to support Crimea in this situation, since, by and large, the geopolitical situation has not changed in a year,” he added.
Earlier, the National Anti-Terrorism Committee reported that Kyiv on Monday carried out a terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge with two surface drones, the road component of the bridge was damaged, two adults were killed, and one child was injured.
The Investigative Committee, within the framework of a criminal case, establishes those involved in Ukraine in the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin said that the approximate damage after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge has not yet been calculated.
