Washington is not ready to blame any of the parties to the conflict for the emergency on the Crimean bridge

The United States at this stage is not ready to attribute responsibility for the attack on the Crimean bridge to any of the parties to the Ukrainian conflict. This was stated by the coordinator for strategic communications of the National Security Council at the White House, John Kirby.

In turn, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken noted that the United States is monitoring the situation that has developed in connection with the attack on the Crimean bridge. He added that the Ukrainian authorities should decide for themselves how to conduct hostilities.

Recall that this morning the head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, announced an “emergency in the area of ​​​​the 145th support of the Crimean bridge” and the suspension of traffic on it. Later, the National Anti-Terrorism Committee announced a terrorist attack on the bridge around 3:00. According to the committee, the attack was carried out by two Ukrainian surface drones.

As a result, two people died, one child was injured.

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case under the article about the terrorist act. The Russian authorities accused the Ukrainian special services of preparing the attack. President Vladimir Putin said that the Defense Ministry is preparing proposals to respond to Ukraine’s actions.
