The partial collapse of one span of the Crimean bridge on the night of July 17 was due to an attack by Ukrainian drones. This was reported by the National Anti-Terrorism Committee.

“At 03:05, two Ukrainian unmanned surface vehicles attacked the Crimean bridge,” the agency said in a statement. They indicated that after the explosion the roadway was damaged, two people were killed, one was injured.

The department also added that a criminal case had been initiated under the article “Terrorist act”.

Recall that at night the Crimean authorities reported an “emergency” in the area of ​​​​the 145th pillar of the Crimean bridge and the suspension of traffic on the bridge, as well as the ferry crossing, the details of the incident have not yet been disclosed. Residents of the peninsula and tourists were asked to choose an alternative overland route. The Ministry of Transport reported that there is damage to the roadway on the spans of the bridge from the Crimean side. “The structures of the spans themselves are on their supports,” the department noted.
