At night, an “emergency incident” occurred on the Crimean bridge, according to the authorities of the peninsula.
Currently, road and rail traffic on the bridge has been stopped. The movement of railway transport will be resumed until 9:00, the head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, promised after a conversation with Deputy Minister of Transport Andrey Kostyuk.
Law enforcement agencies will report the reasons for the incident, Aksenov added, and specified that “all necessary services” are working at the scene.
According to the operational headquarters, during the incident on the Crimean bridge, a girl was injured – she had a closed craniocerebral injury, a condition of moderate severity. The air ambulance will deliver her to the regional medical facility. In addition, two people died – her parents, who were in the same car with her, according to the Belgorod governor Vyacheslav Gladkov. He specified that this family was from the Novooskolsky district of the Belgorod region.
The work of ferries between Crimea and the Kuban was stopped due to an emergency on the Crimean bridge, the head of the Temryuk district of the Krasnodar Territory Fedor Babenkov said in his Telegram channel.
“In connection with the current situation, the request of residents and guests of the Krasnodar Territory not to plan passage through the Crimean bridge and the ferry crossing. If a trip is necessary, choose an alternative route through new regions of Russia,” he wrote.
