Minister of Foreign Affairs in the interim government formed by the radical Taliban who seized power in Afghanistan (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation – ed.), Amir Khan Mottaki met with Russian Ambassador Dmitry Zhirnov in Kabul. According to media reports, during the meeting, Mottaki asked the head of the Russian diplomatic mission to simplify the issuance of Russian visas to Afghan businessmen and citizens.
