Volunteers from the Koshkispas animal rescue service of the Extremum search and rescue team said that a signal that a pet needed help came to the service from an apartment on the 7th floor of one of the Vsevolozhsk high-rise buildings last Friday, July 7.
It turned out that the animal climbed into the hole in the toilet, behind which the communication pipes are located, fell two floors down and got stuck.
At first they tried to get the cat with the help of a loop, but this method did not work. I had to turn to the residents of the apartment on the fifth floor. They cut a drywall wall in their kitchen, but that didn’t help either. The staff of the detachment said that the frightened animal did not go to either the rescuers or the owner, and when trying to grab the cat, she escaped and dived to the floor below.
A neighbor from the fourth floor allowed me to open a brick wall with a perforator. However, the animal managed to go down again. As a result, we had to break the wall in the apartment on the third floor. During the procedure, the cat squeezed into the elevator shaft from fright and fell into the hands of rescuers. But the story did not end there either – she slipped out of her hands into a hole near the pipe box in the toilet, and she had to be broken. As a result, the cat was safely removed and handed over to the owner.
The work lasted about four hours and was completed by 00:20.
