Scientists from the University of Michigan have found that the impact of electrical impulses on the clitoris can increase sexual desire in women. According to Gazeta.Ru, the study involved five women with sexual dysfunction, including two women with spinal cord injuries.
So, before a session of eclectic stimulation, women were asked to rate their sexual arousal on a scale of one to five. The publication notes that at the clinic, researchers placed two small round electrodes on the women’s clitoris, which stimulated them with weak electrical impulses for 30 minutes.
The experiment showed that in three women without spinal cord injury, arousal increased by one to two points on a five-point scale. In two women with spinal injuries, there was an impressive increase in arousal of two to three points. The participants themselves did not experience any side effects of the treatment.
In future studies, the scientists intend to test the effects of porn viewing or other stimuli on the effect of the procedure.
