On the eve of the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, which is celebrated in Russia on July 8, a mass flash mob of people in wedding suits took place on the streets of St. Petersburg. Young people in suits and girls in white dresses were seen on Nevsky Prospekt, Palace Square, in the Sevkabel Porto, as well as in the metro, many parks and other public places.

On July 7, photos and videos began to appear in public pages and on the pages of bloggers with comments that something unusual was happening on the streets of St. Petersburg. “Grooms” and “brides” walked through parks and squares, sat on benches and rode public transport, showing the front page of the Mamba Times newspaper, on which it was written in large print: “Where to find a husband?” and “Where can I find a wife?” The newspaper published the most popular male and female profiles of the Mamba dating service.

Here is what Petersburgers write on social networks about what they saw: “I was walking with my girlfriend and saw them today near the Kazan Cathedral, it’s funny. The brides are very pretty, if you weren’t in a relationship, you would definitely meet”; “Tinder is gone, but Mamba remains. So do not worry that there will be no place to meet. I heard a lot of good love stories that started on this resource”; “My older sister met her husband on the Mamba, they already have two children. I think I should try my luck, especially after such a fun flash mob”, “So many beautiful brides, and not getting married for long!”

The protesters themselves post their photos on social networks and actively invite them to “catch” them on the streets of the northern capital.

The flash mob will continue today and on Saturday in popular places for walking: on Vosstaniya Square, on Nevsky Prospekt, near the Kazan Cathedral and Sevkabel Port, in New Holland Park.
