The Khimki District Court fined the local lyceum, where in February one of the students attacked a classmate with a knife. As Victoria Derunova, the lawyer of the injured family, told 360, the court satisfied the claims for compensation for harm to the injured girl’s health in the amount of about 5.5 million rubles and the recovery of one million in favor of the wounded schoolgirl.
According to Derunova, the court, it turns out, awarded 7,936 rubles 50 kopecks for each of the 126 blows.
The lawyer noted that the parents of the injured girl also received 500 thousand rubles each. Claims for compensation for non-pecuniary damage were dismissed by the court.
Derunova clarified that the funds are supposed to be collected from the lyceum, that is, from the local budget. However, she pointed out, the attacker’s family managed to cash in on the story by giving interviews for money. According to the lawyer, after the decision is published, the victim’s family intends to appeal. She said that against the backdrop of stress due to proceedings, the mother of the injured girl developed an immune disease. She is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Recall that on February 7, 2023, one of the students of the lyceum in Khimki brought a kitchen knife to the educational institution, and then attacked her classmate in the toilet with it – and literally cut her. The victim with dozens of wounds was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Lyubertsy.
