The issue of redeployment and deployment of Wagner PMC in Belarus has not been resolved. This was stated by Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with journalists from foreign and Belarusian media, BelTA writes.

He added that it did not depend on him, but on the decision of the Russian side and the “Wagnerites” themselves.

“We are not building camps. We offered them several former military camps that were used back in wartime,” the leader of Belarus added.

He also noted that he “talked with Yevgeny Prigozhin on the phone and discussed the moments of further actions of the Wagner PMC.” “He told me one thing: “We will work for the good of Russia and will fulfill our duty to the end,” Lukashenka said.

The Belarusian president also said that Prigozhin is not in Belarus. According to him, he is in St. Petersburg. “As for Yevgeny Prigozhin, he is in St. Petersburg <…>. Where is he this morning? Maybe he went to Moscow in the morning, ”Lukashenko suggested, his words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

Recall that after the events of June 24 in southern Russia with the participation of Wagner PMC, which President Vladimir Putin called an armed rebellion, the fighters of a private company and its founder Yevgeny Prigozhin were given the opportunity to leave for Belarus.
