The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) submitted to the court the materials of the case against the former head of the agency’s division in Crimea, Oleg Kulinich, who, according to investigators, “worked for the FSB” of Russia, the agency’s press service reports.
According to the case file, Kulinich worked for the Russian special services even before the start of the military operation in February last year, “was engaged in the placement of“ his people ”in the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine and incited citizens to treason.”
“His subversive activities were supervised by the so-called “political office” in Moscow, which was organized on the instructions of the Russian intelligence service by the former deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Vladimir Sivkovich and the former head of the presidential administration of Ukraine Andriy Klyuyev,” the SBU said in a statement.
Kulinich is accused of high treason, leadership of a criminal community, desertion, theft of weapons and ammunition, and other crimes. He faces up to 15 years in prison. Oleg Kulinich was detained in July 2022 and has been in custody ever since.
