Recently, employers in the northern capital have posted almost 4 thousand vacancies in the field of medicine and pharmaceuticals, HeadHunter analysts have calculated. At the same time, they note that there are, on average, no more than 3 resumes per job offer. This indicates a low demand for jobs in this area, RBC reports.
Doctors and junior medical staff are among the top most scarce in terms of personnel areas of activity in St. Petersburg and rank 11th in demand among local employers.
In this segment, there is one profession among the representatives of which there is fierce competition for jobs – the profession of a psychologist. In St. Petersburg now more than 30 specialists in psychology can compete for one job. For all other positions and specialties, there is an acute shortage of specialists, the analysts report says. For example, there are an average of 5.9 resumes for the vacancy of the head of the department, and no more than 3 applicants are ready to compete for the vacancy of a nurse.
The shortage of personnel in medicine has led to some increase in salaries in this area. Over the year, the St. Petersburg business increased the proposed salary for doctors from 57,400 to 63,800 rubles, the report says. At the same time, 27% of companies announced plans to increase the salary of their medical workers by 7% of the current rate this year.
