The Palestinian authorities have decided to cut off all contact with the Israeli side and continue to limit security coordination with Israel, according to a statement following an emergency meeting of the Palestinian authorities.
The meeting was convened because of Tel Aviv’s counter-terrorist operation in Jenin, WAFA reports. The document reaffirms the right of the Palestinians to self-defence.
Palestine also decided to appeal to the UN Security Council with a demand to comply with the resolution on the cessation of Israeli construction of settlements in the West Bank of the Jordan and the resolution on the international protection of the Palestinian people, stop unilateral measures and impose sanctions on Tel Aviv. In addition, Palestine demands to end Israel’s membership in the UN.
Following the meeting, the Palestinian leadership stated that the agreements concluded in Aqaba and Sharm el-Sheikh this year in order to stop the escalation and tension between Israel and the Palestinians are no longer valid, since Tel Aviv violated them.
In addition, the Palestinian authorities decided to limit relations with Washington, as well as sue the United States and Great Britain because of the so-called Balfour Declaration and demand an apology and compensation.
