Over the weekend, social media condemned the holding of a private party in the protected area of ​​Playas de Villamil. Immediately, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Water and Ecological Transition announced the opening of sanctioned administrative proceedings for alleged non-compliance with conservation management and regulations.

It is true that the ministry conducts investigations and, if irregularities are found, sanctions those who endangered animal species, specifically sea turtles, according to publicly published information. Even the State Department points out that the event was carried out illegally.

The father of the owner of the house where the controversial celebration took place confirms that only social space is rented and that they have permits issued by the Municipality of Playas.

The council will also have to reveal how the permits were obtained to hold the event where a stage was set up for the presentation of artists in a protected area.
