The Supreme Court of Udmurtia today considered the complaint of Nina Krivoshchekova against the decision of a lower court. The woman was found guilty under Art. 20.2 h. 2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation and imposed a fine of 10 thousand rubles, Kommersant writes.

This decision was made after a video message to Russian President Vladimir Putin, which was recorded by several residents of Votkinsk in the spring of 2023. They asked to replace the pipeline and repair the roadway on Sovkhoznaya Street. According to them, they have been trying to reach out to officials with this request for more than 35 years.

After the publication, employees of the E center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs came to the woman and accused her of organizing a mass protest event.

The publication writes that after the appeal of the activists of the “People’s Front” to law enforcement agencies, Krivoshchekova “was summoned to the local investigative committee, interrogated.” She was later informed that no violations had been found.

During the meeting of the Supreme Council of the Republic, Nina Krivoshchekova stated that she had not violated the laws. Her lawyer confirmed that there was no object of the offense in this case.

As a result, Judge Gulnara Bagautdinova canceled the decision of the district court and terminated the proceedings.
