A resident of the Vologda region out of jealousy nailed an opponent to the floor

A resident of the Vologda region nailed his drinking companion to the floor, whom he was jealous of his girlfriend, the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation reports.

According to the department, the incident occurred in the Ust-Kubinsky district. The police, who arrived on a call to the apartment of one of the houses of the district center, found a man with bodily injuries lying on the floor. The victim was hospitalized “in an exhausted state,” the agency said in a statement.

Law enforcers established that the crime was committed by a previously repeatedly convicted local resident born in 1981. The man was arrested and confessed. According to him, during his visit he had a conflict with the victim on the grounds of jealousy, as he tried to take care of his cohabitant. At some point, the victim and the woman left. Later, having found them together in the apartment, the suspect inflicted several blows on his opponent and, knocking him down, nailed him to the floor.

On the fact of causing grievous bodily harm by the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Sokolsky”, a criminal case was initiated against a 42-year-old resident of the village of Ustye.
