The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility issued a statement about the situation of Ecuadorians in Russia, given the situation in its conflict with Ukraine.
For this Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to formalize the annexation of four Ukrainian territories after holding referendums, which Western countries consider a farce. Which could increase hostility in the region since Ukraine does not validate the process.
Given this, the Foreign Ministry announced that it assists citizens who are in that country through the embassy and consulate. He also announced that those who need any document or assistance should contact the email [email protected] or +7-901-350-18-44.
“Compatriots residing in Russia are recommended to stay in contact with our diplomatic mission and permanently carry their current Ecuadorian documentation,” it was indicated.
He also reported that doubts and concerns from relatives of students in that country were addressed and that they are working on several applications.
Putin also ordered the partial mobilization of citizens to join the war, among the requirements is that they have served the Armed Forces and will not be university students. (YO)
