The criminal case against Yevgeny Prigozhin will be dropped. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
According to Peskov, Prigozhin will leave for Belarus. At the same time, the Kremlin spokesman did not specify what Prigozhin would do in Belarus.
According to RBC, Peskov added that the situation was resolved without further losses and without increasing the level of tension. According to him, part of the wishing fighters of PMC “Wagner” will sign contracts with the Ministry of Defense. He stressed that we are talking only about those who did not participate in today’s actions of PMCs. The rest of the fighters will not be persecuted, taking into account their merits at the front.
At the same time, Peskov noted, he does not know where Yevgeny Prigozhin is now. He added that the current situation will not affect the course of the NWO.
The day before, the FSB Public Relations Center reported that all information disseminated in social networks on behalf of Yevgeny Prigozhin about “rocket and bomb attacks inflicted by the Ministry of Defense on the rear units of the Wagner PMC is untrue and is an informational provocation. The same was said in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. As a result, the FSB Investigation Department opened a criminal case against Prigozhin under the article on organizing an armed rebellion.
Today, the press service of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko reported that Prigozhin accepted the proposal of the head of the republic to stop the advance of Wagner across Russia and take further steps to de-escalate tensions. Prigozhin himself said that PMC units would be withdrawn back to the field camps.
According to RIA Novosti, the Wagner fighters in full strength left the headquarters of the Southern Military District in Rostov-on-Don.
