A number of Internet resources are limited in order to prevent the spread of calls for participation in a military mutiny. Roskomnadzor told RIA Novosti about this when answering a question about the blocking of the Wagner PMC group on VKontakte.
The department recalled that earlier the investigative department of the FSB of Russia opened a criminal case under the article on organizing an armed rebellion.
On Saturday, the VKontakte social network blocked the Wagner PMC community at the request of Roskomnadzor, as it was included in the list of banned resources.
Recall that earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin made a video message in connection with the situation with the Wagner PMC. “I appeal to the Russians, the military and law enforcement agencies, and to those who were pushed onto the path of armed rebellion by deceit and threats. <…> Any strife must be discarded during the period of the special operation, now the fate of our people is being decided, ”the head of state noted, the video was published on the Kremlin website.
He called for unity, consolidation and responsibility.
Commenting on the situation with the Wagner PMC, Putin called the actions to split the unity an apostasy. In his opinion, exorbitant ambitions led to the betrayal of Russia.
