Russian President Vladimir Putin made a video message in connection with the situation with Wagner PMC.
“I appeal to the Russians, the military and law enforcement agencies, and to those who were pushed onto the path of armed rebellion by deceit and threats. <…> Any strife must be discarded during the period of the special operation, now the fate of our people is being decided, ”the head of state noted, the video was published on the Kremlin website.
He called for unity, consolidation and responsibility.
The President, commenting on the situation with the PMC “Wagner”, called the actions to split the unity – apostasy. “What we are facing is a betrayal,” Putin stressed. He added that the authorities would not allow a split in Russia to repeat. According to him, exorbitant ambitions led to the betrayal of Russia.
“Everyone who deliberately embarked on the path of betrayal will suffer inevitable punishment,” the president promised, noting that the Armed Forces had received appropriate orders to neutralize the organizers of the rebellion, including actions to stabilize the situation in Rostov-on-Don.
