Citizens of Kazakhstan should not visit the regions of Russia bordering Ukraine. The corresponding message appeared on the social network of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the Russian Federation.
“In connection with the existing security threats in the regions of Russia bordering Ukraine, we ask you to refrain from visiting them,” the message says.
It also contains an urgent appeal to all citizens in the Russian Federation, especially in the regions bordering Ukraine, to register with the consular office at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Moscow.
The message also states that in the event of force majeure, the citizens of Kazakhstan will be provided with all the necessary assistance and support.
Earlier, in a number of border regions of Russia, including the Rostov, Voronezh, Lipetsk regions, security measures were strengthened. Residents were advised not to leave their homes unnecessarily, as well as to limit movement in some areas. It was reported that antiterrorist measures were being held in Moscow.
No clarification has been received from the authorities.
