This was stated by the head physician of the Moscow hospital “Kommunarka” Denis Protsenko, reports RBC.
According to him, the manifestations of this phenomenon are very diverse and dangerous – from skin rashes to rare cases when people’s sense of smell has not been restored or the symptoms of the covid debut have persisted – fatigue, memory loss.
He stressed that the data on post-COVID-19 collected by Russian doctors absolutely correlate with foreign ones – the number of people with diabetes has increased, and the numbers of arterial hypertension have become younger. “Therefore, to say that we survived the covid and forgot about it would be unfair,” said Protsenko.
Raci have previously listed six main symptoms of post-COVID. The list includes shortness of breath, chronic fatigue, impaired sense of smell, problems with the gastrointestinal tract, cognitive impairment and hair loss.
