Twenty-five rectangular packages with a greenish plant substance that after tests were positive for marijuana, a glass bottle with a greenish substance, a cell phone and two digital scales were found in the Odyssey 3 operation carried out by the Tungurahua Anti-Narcotics Unit and the Prosecutor’s Office.
As part of the operation, a home was searched in the AmbabaquĆ sector, in the Pelileo canton, Tungurahua province.
According to Manuel Samaniego, commander of zone 3 of the National Police, the evidence was entered through a chain of custody to the Antinarcotics warehouses, weighing 24,719 grams, which is the equivalent of 25 kilograms of marijuana.

Thus, he said, it was possible to get about 50,000 doses off the market that could be marketed on the streets.
He added that from January to the present, five organizations related to this illicit market have been dismantled, in addition, 264 people have been placed under the orders of the authorities and around 1,297 kilograms were seized by the uniformed.
For his part, Colonel Marco MuƱoz, commander of sub-zone 18 of the Tungurahua National Police, commented that in this case a 24-year-old person of Ecuadorian nationality was arrested, who has no record and was inside the address that was searched.
