Two dead men and six wounded were reported early yesterday after a gunshot attack that carried out six individuals in the Ciudad Victoria sector, in the northwest of Guayaquil.
Police personnel identified the deceased as Luis Alberto Vera and Geovanni Chuquisala Reyes. Meanwhile, the wounded were taken to hospitals for treatment.
Witnesses indicated that three motorcycles arrived, each with two subjects on board, and they began to shoot a group of young people who were at the entrance to Ciudad Victoria.
Two other murders were reported early yesterday morning. One of them was Franklin Byron Espinoza Gómez, who died at 01:00 in the suburb. The other case was reported in the Siete Lagos sector, in the south. There they shot Ronny Andrés Torres Torres, who was transferred to a hospital, but died.
With these 4 deaths, violent deaths in Zone 8 (Guayaquil, Durán and Samborondón) rise to 605, according to figures managed by the Police. (I)
