The conditions of the Russian side, stipulated by the “grain deal”, have not yet been fulfilled. Therefore, Russia does not see the prerequisites for its extension, said the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov during a press call.

“There are no prerequisites, because it has not been fulfilled. The agreements have not yet been implemented, and we have already heard the statement of the UN representatives, who are forced to state that, unfortunately, they do not have the proper influence on the countries of the collective West in order to fulfill the Russian part of the agreements, ”Peskov explained. The quote is given by Kommersant.

The deal was concluded in the summer of 2022 with Ukraine with the participation of the UN and Turkey. It involves opening ports in Ukraine for the export of agricultural products, as well as unblocking the export of food and fertilizers of the Russian Federation. Moscow put forward a condition for a further extension of the deal, demanding that Rosselkhozbank be reconnected to SWIFT. However, the European Union refused to do so. The Russian Foreign Ministry warned that July 18 would be the time for the completion of the deal.
