The dialogue with the leaders of African countries who visited Kyiv with a peace initiative was frank and sometimes tough. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba on the air of the telethon, he is quoted by RIA Novosti.
“For the first time in the history of Ukraine’s independence, such a delegation from Africa came to us … There was a very frank conversation, sometimes a tough dialogue,” Kuleba said, adding that Kiev will continue to look at what will happen next and how the views of the delegates will evolve.
“We will not retreat a single millimeter from our interests and will speak frankly with everyone,” the minister stressed.
Earlier it was reported that Russian leader Vladimir Putin met with a representative delegation of the leaders of South Africa, Senegal, the Comoros and Zambia. The African initiative to resolve the Ukrainian crisis was made public, which consists of 10 points concerning security guarantees, freedom of movement of grain across the Black Sea, the release of prisoners of war and the early start of negotiations.
